Dear CAR Members,
The Board of Directors is sorry to announce the resignations of President Cassie Mead and Director Sarah Martin. We would like to thank them for all their dedication for the current board year of 2007-2008 and in previous years.
We would also like to thank Teresa Fields, whose last day was Friday June 20th, for all her hard work and vision in a time of transition from GCAAR to our own board run association.
The Board has voted to hire Sheila Dodson as the new Executive Vice President for the Coastal Association of REALTORS® effective June 30, 2008. We are excited and fortunate to bring on board someone with 21 years of real estate experience and knowledge. Sheila is a past president and past REALTOR® of the year and is eager to take on this new challenge.
The Board has received word from C.A.R.'s legal counsel on how to restructure for the next three months, which is as follows:
- Immediate Past President - Kevin White returns to President
- (Past) Immediate Past President - Pat Terrill returns to Board as Immediate Past President
- Gregg Holland will stay as President-Elect
- Terry Daly will stay as Vice President
- Jennifer Cropper-Rines will stay as Treasurer
The remaining board members will stay the same and the board has voted to bring on Susan Megargee to replace Sheila Dodson's directors position, and Sharon Curtiss to replace Sarah Martin's position.

SENTRILOCK UPDATES
LOCKBOX SHACKLES
Once The Shackle Has Been Released On A Lockbox That Was Previously Assigned To A Listing Using The Function 2 Method, It Will Clear All The Information. The Reason This Is, Is Because The Lockbox Thinks That Since The Shackle Has Been Released, That The Listing Has Sold Or Been Moved And Is Ready To Be Put On The Next Property.
To View The Access Log That Has Been Lost Due To Releasing The Shackle Using The Function 2 Method:
- Log Onto SentriLock's Website.
- Click On The Tab "Lockboxes".
- Select Or Click The Specific Lockbox Serial Number That Was Located On That Property.
- An Edit Lockbox Screen Will Appear. Now Look For The Listing.
- Once You Have Clicked On The Select Button On The Right, You Can Locate The Listing That The Lockbox Was Previously Assigned To.
- After Selecting The Listing, A Calendar Will Appear. Backdate The Property To The Specific Date That You Put It On & Save Changes, You Will Then Be Able To View The Access Log That You Have Lost.
- Please Make Sure That If You Have To Release The Shackle That You Reassign It Back To The Property In Order For It To Link Back Up With The Previous Listing It Was On.
- If you have Any Further Problems Please Call SentriLock Support at (877) 736-8745.
ONE DAY SHOWING CODES:
Brokers & Agents Are Advised To Be Extremely Cautious In Granting The Use Of One Day Showing Codes To Licensed Brokers, Agents Or Contractors. Do Not Ever Give The One Day Showing Code To An Agent Over The Phone, Unless They Are Personally Known To You!
Obviously Your Own Good Judgment And Discretion Should Further Guide You In The Proper Use And Handling Of The One Day Showing And Contractor Codes, In Protecting The Security And Best Interests Of Your Clients. With The Proper Precautions, The Use Of These Lockbox Features Can Be A Valuable Tool In The Conduct Of Your Business And The Service Of Your Clients.
Procedure For Issuing A One Day Showing Code:
- Obtain Caller's Name & Phone Number and Company Name & Phone Number, Which Is Required Under State Licensing Regulations.
- Obtain The One Day Code By Either Logging Onto The SentriLock Website http://lockbox.sentrilock.com/lbs Or By Calling The SentriLock Support Number At (877) 736-8745.
- Call The Agent's Company & Confirm That They Are In Fact A Licensed Agent Associated With That Company, Before Leaving The One Day Code, With The Office Or In The Agent's Voice Mailbox.

BROKERS:
- You Will Be Sent A Letter 15 Days Past The Due Date Of 7/1/08 Advising You Of Agents That Have NOT Paid.
- The Broker Will Be Billed $200.00 For ANY Agent Not Paid 30 Days Past The Due Date Of 7/1/08 And Still Remaining As An Active Agent With Your Office.
AGENTS:
- Members Will Be Billed Annually Instead Of Quarterly In The Amount Of $228.00. Once Paid Your MLS Account Will Be Active From 7/1/2008 Through 6/30/2009.
- If Payments Were NOT Received By 7/1/08, a $50.00 Late Fee is Now Incurred And The Members MLS Account Will Be Made INACTIVE.
- If Payments Still Have Not Been Received By 7/31/08, There Will Be A Charge Of $75.00 To Reactivate Your Account.
- MLS Dues Can Be Paid Online At www.coastalrealtor.org.
- MLS Dues Are NON-REFUNDABLE.

ATTENTION ALL CAR MEMBERS:
The Nominating Committee of the Coastal Association of REALTORS® is now considering candidates for Officers and Directors of the Association for the 2008-2009 term of office, per the Association's bylaws. We welcome volunteers and recommendations for these leadership positions.
Any letters of recommendation and/or nominations for a particular position, along with the candidate's resume, must be in the Association Office no later 5:00pm, Friday, July 18th. If you are currently holding a leadership position and wish to remain or move up the ladder, please make your position known.
